While attention for Super Bowl XLVI is centered on Indianapolis, a new project led in part by former Indianapolis Colts Coach Tony Dungy is focusing attention on 7,000 hospitalized children.

Writers, readers come together for causes
It was a good time for a pair of good causes. Regional authors Jackie Lee Miles, Sallie Ann Robinson and Karen White shared laughs and inspiration with the nearly 200 people gathered Tuesday for The Times and Democrat's fourth annual Page Turner Book and Author Luncheon and Silent Auction at Cornerstone Community Church.

Family Reading Night Is March 2
The theme for this year’s 12th annual family reading night is “Reading. Pass It Down!” The free community family event will be held Friday, March 2, at Washington Middle School.

Booklovers' cocktail party in February to benefit historic Newtown Library Company
NEWTOWN - The Newtown Library Company will host its 10th annual Booklovers' Cocktail Party from 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11 in the Atrium at Stocking Works, 301 South State Street in Newtown. The cost is $50 per person and includes hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, music and time with good friends.
